Derb Terms Of Use

   Derb is a non-moderated open access forum. It is open to all Moroccans  and  friends of Morocco.  Its sole purpose is establish links between Moroccans and friends of Morocco around the world. But it aims also on promoting discussions on topics of concerns to Morocco and Moroccan communities everywhere. Derb, is the stage of all the debates. It's the list mother. Each Dar (house) of Derb is built around a topic. Since debates could sometimes become intense, It is  necessary to remember that all do not share either the same opinion nor the same convictions. Therefore we ask you to:

1. Always remember that there is person behind each name . Before sending a message,  read it twice.
2. Show courtesy , do not use insults and do not take things personally.  Keep in mind that your message is sent to all members of the list and some members are parents and their children may also have  access to their email.
3. Try not to be biased. Remain objective even in subjectivity:-) certain subjects require deep understanding.
4. Remember that what really matters is not to convince the person on the opposite side, but rather to express your point of view while respecting everybody freedom of thought.
5. Always quote the source of any materiel you may  use or pass on to the list; Respect copyrights and other people's work.
6. Respect Confidentiality. Never reveal or talk about any private conversation or correspondence that you may have had with another member.
7. Avoid sending large files or pictures that take time to download and may put the system to halt

    All  members are invited to take part in building the Derb. A list is alive only by the vitality of its members, simply imagine a real  derb: -)  We require that  you  identify yourself  and not to use nicknames or pseudonyms when you register. This is necessary in order  to create a climate of confidence and friendship . It is easier to address a person with a name rather than one  hiding behind  a pseudonym. A committee made up of five members will insure that these terms are respected and resolve any problem that may occur.
